12-24-09 Yes! Got a post in before the year ended. Wow, it's been a LONG time since any kind of update. We're still alive and well, still kicking. 09-14-08 After being silent for far too long, we are pleased to announce our newest production title: Single Shot - Three hundred years ago a single shot started a revolution. Yesterday it ended one. With Stargate SG-2, our primary goal was successfully attempting special effects. And while we we achieved this goal, the overall presentation of characters and plot was left lacking. But, we had accomplished what we set out to do. With "Single Shot", we're now focusing on character development and story progression. Using the experience gained from our effects work on SG-2, "Single Shot" looks to incorporate our effects prowess with our newly infused sense of story telling to deliver a solid work of entertainment.
05-20-08 Our newest project has been officially announced and a teaser page has been created. This is something new for us, as it is a new direction our storytelling is taking; we're diving into the comedy genre. We hope to make something for everyone, something you'll get a genuine laugh out of. Other then the project type, we are being tight lipped about this one. The forum will, at a certain time, bring news to life. Until then, let the suspense slowly eat you.

Well, we've grown tired of saying (and we're sure you've grown tired of hearing) "No, we're working on it. Have patience." So heres a little something to wet your whistle and prove that SG-2 is still alive and kicking. Enjoy!

10-20-03 Its been a long time since the last update, for which we are truly sorry. But given the amount of work being done around here, its understandable. The last two months have been absolutely jammed packed. As you can see, the entire site has been reworked, and we're still not quite done. Here at Blue Smoke we've been doing some reworking as well. We've recently acquired some equipment upgrades which will allow for a much better production quality on Monterey Bay Academy's Senior Talent. In a short while we'll be posting some new poster concept art. A final decision probably won't be reached until sometime in late January. And now for the big news. We've coordinated with MBA and have made plans to release a teaser trailer before their Christmas Homeleave in December. This is not final yet, and we'll keep you posted on the last minute items. The next month has a lot planned for it, so keep an eye on this project for new events and happenings.
08-25-03 A lot has been happening behind the scenes here at Blue Smoke Studios. Equipment and software upgrades, staff arrangement, just about about everything that could delay a project. For the most part its over now and we're back on track. We've broken this project up into sections. Beings this is our newest assignment, we're still on the first section, art design. Our goal is to have two separate designs completed and approved by the end of September. Principle photography isn't set in concrete yet, but most likely will start is early January.
07-15-03 The staffhere at Blue Smoke are back from vacation and work is in progress once more. Some of that work has been posted over in the Monterey Bay Academy poster section, under concept art. More on the way ;)
06-06-03 Blue Smoke Studios has agreed to assist in the post production aspects of Monterey Bay Academy's Senior Talent Show. These include the addition of special effects to already edited video, as well as some custom video mixing. This is Blue Smoke's first interaction with an academic project. We are looking forward to working with the Senior Class of 2004, and are anticipating a smooth ride all the way.
